WHITBY MAYOR'S DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITY FUND

2023

The Whitby Mayor's Development Community Funded has granted  The Whitby Lawn Bowling Club funding to be used to replace outdoor patio chairs. and umbrellas for benches around the green.

2022

The Whitby Lawn Bowling Club is thrilled to report that they have received The Mayor’s Community Development Fund for 2022. Our club will be using the $5,000.00 to help cover some of the costs of Greens Maintenance Project 2022. Greens are the most important part of our club. In a normal year green maintenance runs about $20,000.00 a year. Due to Covid 19 our club has not been able to bring in the usual revenue to support the club. We plan on holding a ceremony thanking The Mayors Grant Committee in supporting our club in our 95th year.

 2021

They have granted us a $5,000 grant to use for badly needed rejuvenation of our greens.  A very much needed and appreciated grant.

2019

The Grant for 2019 has been received and was to be used to purchase new replacement patio chairs and shading umbrellas.  Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the Mayor's Grant has approved using the grant to help the club pay for lawn maintenance.  They were pleased to help the club in this way due to the club being unable to make needed funds for its survival.
